Sunset Dinner Cruise with Royal Albatross

Sunset Dinner Cruise

We boarded the Sunset Dinner Cruise with Royal Albatross docked alongside the SEA Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa. It was not hard to spot the magnificent luxury tall ship Royal Albatross!

Video/vlog coverage

If you’re more into videos, come and take a peek into the vlog we made below which showcases our sunset dinner cruise experience with Royal Albatross.

We were initially worried about the weather as it was raining the whole afternoon, but thankfully the weather turned for the better in time for the golden hour. You will need to deposit your footwear with the crew before boarding the cruise, so simply kick off your shoes and let loose. Upon depositing our shoes and boarding the cruise, we were greeted with a mocktail. Off we went to explore the upper and lower decks of the ship! Did you know that you can also charter the whole ship for special occasions and events? I think it will be really cool to hold a wedding onboard the ship, complete with live entertainment, food, drinks and there’s even a luxurious cabin where you can rest in. Definitely an unconventional venue which newlyweds-to-be can consider!

PS: I heard charter packages are from $20,000++ (pretty competitive pricing as compared to the hotel banquets available so definitely worth a consideration ;))

The Experience

Before we could finish taking photos, we were sailing along Singapore’s beautiful skyline in view of the beautiful sunset! With the gentle sea breeze and lovely live music playing in the background, the 3 course meal was served. The first course served was an appetizing prawn waldorf salad, a great start for the night.

Next, we had the main platter which consisted of Roasted AUS Beef Sirloin Au Jus (served with potatoes), this was my ultimate favourite of all! The meat was so tender and the sauce drizzled on it was just so flavourful! On the platter, there was also Atlantic Prawn with Mussels and French Chicken Roulade that came in second for my top favourites that night. The sides such as the grilled corn on cob, sauteed fine beans and buttery mashed potato just made the whole platter even more complete! I love how we get to try a variety of mains from the platter and the portion was just right.

Last but not least, let’s not miss out the sweets platter which consisted of chocolate brownie, mango pudding with raspberry sauce, mini lemon meringue tart and my favourite bread butter pudding! We were spoilt for choice!

The whole dinner cruise took around 2.5 hours. It was a good time to hold a good conversation with your loved ones and enjoy each other’s company. We also really enjoyed the mini dance off session near the end of the cruise trip! Singing along to classic hits like YMCA and romantic songs up for song dedications too!
