Our Solemnisation by the pool

Our Solemnisation by the pool

It’s been a few months back, but I finally got down to sorting out my wedding day’s photos and here’s the first of the wedding series blogpost I will be documenting down. Here’s how our dream solemnisation ceremony came to life.

We knew this is our dream solemnisation spot the moment we set our eyes on this spot during the wedding fair. The patio area by the pool at Village Hotel Sentosa & The Outpost Hotel with an unobstructed view of the sea. This was our main reason for picking this venue for our wedding banquet too!:D Both of us really wanted to get married by the pool side during the golden hour.

We have been envisioning our dream solemnisation moment while planning for our wedding. Can’t believe that everything went by in a flash!
Moments before the solemnisation, it started to rain. I was praying for the rain to stop and it really did! Thank goodness!! I’m sure our Grandpas did their magic from above too! 😉

We are really thankful to all our close friends & relatives for coming down earlier for our solemnisation and making it such an awesome one! Especially thankful for the groomsmen for taking care of our special guest too. *winks*

Although our ceremony could not be held at a later timing during the golden hour as the solemnizer does not have other timeslots, we cannot be more thankful for how all the photos turned out to be. Thanks to our bros from @filosofiewedding for working their magic!

It was a mad rush before the solemnisation ceremony. My heart was pumping so fast from all the mini hiccups. I finally calm down when the song “A Thousand Years” started to play. My bridesmaids walked down the aisle dressed in the prettiest tulle skirt and off shoulder tops from @joopboutique, holding the baby’s breath and roses bouquets. No one had any rehearsal but everything turned out perfect!

Ben, his groomsmen and our special guest were standing at the arch waiting for us. The next moment, my Dad held my hands and walked me down the aisle. At that moment, my heart was filled with so much emotions, and i just kept reminding myself to smile, enjoy the moment and don’t trip and fall! Ben told me he felt like he was about to cry at that moment.

I wish i had more time to take in whatever was happening at that moment. Ever so thankful for the awesome shots and videos that helps me to relieve the heartwarming moment! 😀

The florals, setup and my gown from Queenofhearts are just exactly what I envisioned. I wanted something sleek and elegant that comes with pretty floral details and this satin piece is simply perfect! I’ve received so many compliments on the day itself! YAY!

Our vows

We wrote our vows pretty last minute on our handphones, it would have been nicer if I had printed it out. But.. we didn’t have enough time so we got to make do.

“I, Benjamin Tan, choose you, Chloe Teo to be my Wife. In front of our friends and family, I promise to love and cherish you through every obstacle that may come into our path.
I promise to always encourage, support and believe in you.
I promise to make time for you.
In you, I have found the love of my life, and my closest truest Best Friend. I will forever be there with you to laugh with you, to lift you up when you are down.
I vow to still grab your butt when you are old and wrinkly.
I want to hold your hand at 88 and say we made it!
I love you always.”

“I, Chloe Teo, choose you, Benjamin Tan to be my Husband. In front of our friends and family, I promise to love and cherish you through every obstacle that may come into our path.
I promise to put my makeup in the designated drawers if you pick up your pants off the floor.
I promise I will hold off watching the next episode of whichever show we are into, until we can watch it together.
I can’t promise to fix all your problems but I can promise you won’t have to face it alone.
I will love you always!”

And there you go, our perfectly imperfect vows hehe! Just the way we like it <3

After we said “I DO”, it’s the “You may now kiss the bride” moment hehe! Just like in the movies and dramas, we did it too!

And here’s a close up look at the wedding bands we picked from Goldheart Sg. Half rose gold and half encased with diamonds. So thankful that Ben likes rose gold too! Hehe!

On this special day, I have officially married my best friend, my best travel partner and my buddy for life, for better or for worse. We made our vows and put on our wedding bands. It’s a new journey for us and I hope we never forget the promises we made to each other. ILY <3

And at the end of it, it’s picture time! With my bride squad! Wouldn’t know what I would do without all of you! I love you girls!

With our close friends and family who took time off to attend our solemnisation ceremony! Also, super thankful for our two super awesome makeup artists turned friends; Cynthia @cynderellasg & Christine @christinetan.makeup. Both of them helped us so much! From doing my hair in the morning to helping both my mums and grandmas look pretty. Especially love all the looks they did! It was a perfect hair and makeup day for me! And that’s definitely what every bride hopes to achieve on their big day. Love love love!

And it’s official, we are officially husband and wife!

XOXO, wouldn’t trade this moment for any other. So thankful for everyone who were there for us. <3
